2015–2022: Pre-Debut and Formation

Kiss of Life formed under S2 Entertainment. Member Natty competed on survival shows Sixteen (2015) and Idol School (2017) but did not debut with Twice or Fromis_9.

Julie trained at YG’s sub-label The Black Label from 2017–2020. Belle, daughter of singer Shim Shin, wrote songs for SM Entertainment artists. Haneul joined S2 as a trainee in 2022.

The group’s lineup finalized in May 2023 after a BBC documentary featured Julie, Belle, and Haneul as trainees.

2023: Debut with Kiss of Life and Born to Be XX
Kiss of Life debuted on July 5, 2023, with the EP Kiss of Life. Each member released a solo track: Natty’s Sugarcoat, Belle’s Countdown, Julie’s Kitty Cat, and Haneul’s Play Love Games.

Lead single Shhh emphasized vocal harmonies and R&B influences. The EP sold 25,000 copies in five days.

In November, they released Born to Be XX, featuring dual singles Bad News (English/Korean versions) and Nobody Knows.

The album peaked at No. 12 on Korean charts. Member Belle composed the fan song Says It, showcasing Haneul’s guitar skills.

2024: Midas Touch and Global Breakthrough
The single Midas Touch (April 2024) blended 2000s pop and hip-hop, earning 50 million Spotify streams.

Their first world tour, Kiss Road, sold out 28 shows across North America and Europe. In July, Julie and Natty collaborated with Mark Tuan on Superpower, the theme for the Valorant Champions 2024 tournament.

Third EP Lose Yourself (October 2024) included the viral B-side Igloo, which charted in 26 countries. The Kiss Road European leg (2025) marked their first K-pop performance at Hungary’s Sziget Festival.

2025: Lose Yourself Tour and Mainstream Recognition
Kiss of Life performed at London’s O2 Arena (March 2025) and became the first K-pop group on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Their single Sticky (2024) peaked at No. 3 in Korea and entered Billboard’s Global 200. Member Natty gained attention for her acting debut in the Netflix series So Not Worth It (Season 3).
